China aerospace opportunities

MAA offices, Coventry CV3 2TX

By 2024, China will eclipse the US as the world’s largest aerospace market based upon passenger numbers and sales of new aircraft.

This will not only change the regional customer base, but also the industrial landscape. With China investing heavily in its own aircraft programmes to rival Airbus and Boeing, there are opportunities for UK suppliers ranging from structures and systems through to interiors and services.

The MAA is hosting this Department for International Trade event designed to help companies understand the China aerospace market, the opportunities and challenges, and various market entry strategies. Besides DIT sector insight, you will hear directly from UK companies involved in the market, and the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) which has a wealth of multi-sector in-country experience.

Draft agenda

  • Market overview
  • Chinese aircraft programmes (COMAC and AVIC)
  • Routes to market
  • Dual-use and export licensing
  • IP and security
  • DIT in-market support
  • Company case-studies
  • Working in China (cultural perspectives)
  • Finance, insurance and working capital

Please note the meeting is for MAA members only.
