What to expect: 

✈️You’ll hear from MAA Chief Executive Andrew Mair about the latest industry insights and our plans for supporting the Midlands aerospace cluster over the coming year.

✈️Hear from Royal Airforce Air Show about their plans for next year, marking an exciting new chapter as the first event delivered under its new title. Built around the theme "READY", the show will celebrate the preparation, professionalism and innovation that enable the Royal Air Force to defend the UK, support allies, and respond to global challenges. Through world-class flying displays, immersive exhibitions and interactive experiences, visitors will discover the people, technology and capabilities that ensure the RAF remains ready to operate across the air, space, and cyber domains.

✈️Opportunity to have a site tour. The hangar you will be shown around belongs to Mechanical Training Squadron, within the Number 1 School of Technical Training, where Aircraft Technician (Mechanical) apprentices undertake practical skills training on both aircraft and simulated equipment throughout various stages of their course. The facility houses a range of aircraft, including the SEPECAT Jaguar, BAE Systems Hawk, and Panavia Tornado. Although these aircraft are no longer in active flying service, they remain invaluable training assets, providing apprentices with the fundamental engineering skills and knowledge required before progressing to their first frontline units and later specialising on specific aircraft types.

✈️Plus, as usual, there will also be lots of opportunities to network with companies from across the region.
