The Midlands hosts several world leading manufacturing research and innovation centres. The excellent facilities and staff offer SMEs in the region the opportunity to innovate and accelerate their growth. The MAA would like to invite Midlands SMEs to attend this introductory session held at the facilities to identify activities and funding opportunities to help you supercharge your business.

The Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) is here to help manufacturing businesses become more competitive through the application of new techniques, technologies and processes. The AMRC works with businesses of all sizes, including hundreds of startups, early-stage and established businesses on a variety of topics, for example:

  • Design for manufacture review
  • Demonstrating digital technologies
  • Reduce the cost of processes by applying new technologies
  • Cycle time reduction
  • Automation of manufacturing processes
  • New product introduction
  • Prototyping and testing

The Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NAMRC, https://namrc.co.uk/) has worked with thousands of businesses, including many SMEs, to help them to become more competitive. Their capabilities now extend from our core civil nuclear market, to help companies solve their manufacturing problems across the low-carbon energy sector and in other quality-critical industries.

Linked to this activity, did you know that the Aerospace Unlocking Potential programme can help you engage with the region’s existing centres of excellence to understand how their collective world-leading expertise can help your manufacturing business?
