EMBS Talent Group Joins the Midlands Aerospace Alliance

EMBS Talent Group, a specialist engineering recruitment business with 23 years of
experience across the Transportation, Energy and Defence sectors, today announced it has joined the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA) and is bringing its new, Recruit. Train. Deploy service to the region’s aerospace supply chain.
The Midlands is home to nearly a quarter of the UK’s aerospace industry, supporting tens of thousands of jobs across engine manufacturing, systems integration and the wider supply chain. Like much of the sector, MAA member companies are managing a familiar challenge: finding skilled engineers fast enough and getting them genuinely productive once they arrive on site.

Recruit. Train. Deploy is EMBS Talent Group’s answer to that challenge. The service combines specialist engineering recruitment, fully funded bespoke training and compliant payroll into a single offering, at no additional cost to employers. Every candidate placed through the service completes a bespoke two-to-six-week training programme, covering technical skills, health and safety induction and AI literacy for engineers, tailored to each client’s specific requirements. The training is funded through the apprenticeship levy rather than charged to the client, using funding that many aerospace supply chain businesses already have available but do not currently use.

“Joining the Midlands Aerospace Alliance puts us right at the centre of one of the most important engineering clusters in the country,” said James Hall, Group Director and Co-owner of EMBS Talent Group. “Aerospace supply chain businesses face exactly the problem, Recruit. Train. Deploy was built to solve skilled roles that are hard to fill, and new starters who need weeks of training before they are genuinely productive. We want MAA members to know there is a funded way to close that gap, without adding cost to their recruitment budget.”

The thinking behind Recruit. Train. Deploy is grounded in results EMBS Talent Group’s training partner has already delivered in the region. In an earlier programme with a Tier 1 rail supplier in Derby, a bespoke training programme built around the client’s own shop floor helped the business double its workforce within six months without raising wages. Attrition on the programme fell from over 50 percent to under 20 percent, and quality, measured as work passed right first time, rose from 78 percent to over 90 percent. The programme ran for more than a decade, training around 900 people across the Derby area, most of them women moving into engineering careers for the first time.
EMBS Talent Group is now inviting MAA member companies to take part in early pilot programmes, with bespoke training designed around each business’s specific site, processes and skills gaps. “Precision engineering skills in aerospace are not something you can teach generically,” said James Hall. “That is exactly why our training programmes are built around each client’s own requirements rather than a standard curriculum. We are looking forward to working closely with MAA members to understand what that looks like on their production lines.”

EMBS Talent Group will be attending upcoming MAA member events to introduce Recruit. Train. Deploy to the wider aerospace supply chain community.
