CBE+ make a move to reduce carbon footprint by 50%

The Chesterfield-based engineering firm have recruited a Project Manager to lead the ambitious move of their NiTEC facility

Established in 1978, NiTEC are leading specialists in electroless nickel plating. They are also one of the four companies that were brought together in 2019 under the unified brand, CBE+.

NiTEC are the last to relocate to CBE’s premises on Enterprise Drive in Chesterfield.

Project Manager, Ken Brown has joined CBE+ to lead this complex project, which also includes investment in new, leading-edge combined heat and power and effluent treatment facilities. This major investment will result in a 50% reduction in the carbon footprint of the business.

Ken brings extensive experience to the role, including manufacturing, operations and project management roles in manufacturing facilities in the UK and overseas.

Ken comments:

‘This is a major investment programme by CBE+, which will not only result in business operational benefits but also significant carbon footprint reduction. Thirty-five employees will be relocating to Enterprise Drive which will have the added benefit of bringing our employees into a single location for the first time.

‘The project underlines the CBE+’s commitment to minimising its impact on the environment and creates the structure for the next stage in the company’s growth.’

The move is due for completion in Spring 2022.
