TT Electronics confirms long-term role in the Eurofighter programme

The continued involvement secures order book well into the next decade

TT Electronics, a global provider of mission-critical power and sensing technology, has confirmed its continued, long-term involvement in the Eurofighter Typhoon programme, specifically supporting the recent major defence agreement between the UK and Turkey.

Building upon a long heritage with the Typhoon platform, this involvement will see the continuation of TT Electronics as a supplier of essential, mission-critical power management systems for the Turkish aircraft order. The contract agreement to deliver 20 new Typhoon jets is valued at up to £8bn, and is led by prime contractor BAE Systems in partnership with European consortium members Leonardo and Airbus.

As a trusted partner to prime contractor BAE Systems, TT Electronics will supply three core systems for each jet from its Manchester production site.

The continued involvement in the Typhoon programme secures TT Electronics’ confirmed order book well into the next decade, and delivers key strategic benefits:

Supply Chain Resilience and Quality: The commitment directly mitigates the challenge of obsolescence, enabling TT Electronics to anticipate and manage its supply chain. As an embedded supplier, TT Electronics ensures maximum traceability, production quality, and on-time delivery performance, strengthening overall supply chain resilience and operational flexibility.

Sustained Employment: The programme ensures a crucial pipeline of work, securing high-value UK employment and expert engineering skillsets at TT Electronics' facilities for over a decade.
