Meet Belgian aerospace industry!

London, Embassy of Belgium

MAA members are invited to join MAA Chief Executive Dr Andrew Mair at a great two-part opportunity to meet with Belgian industry counterparts!

Part 1: meet members of our counterpart regional aerospace clusters at the Belgian Embassy: 13:30 to 15:30

We are pleased to invite you to our first UK-Belgium aerospace cluster Meet-and-Great, a joint initiative from the Midlands Aerospace Alliance and the Belgian aerospace clusters Skywin and Flemish Aerospace Group. Our Midlands cluster and our two Belgian clusters taken together are about the same size, so we’d like to think it’s a meeting of equals!

We all have a shared goal, which is to transform aviation and aerospace to ‘net zero’ within one generation. International collaboration with a variety of partners from the broad aviation and aerospace ecosystem is key to success! With this initiative we aim to bring together our industry professionals, identify business opportunities we can pursue at e.g. Farnborough in 2024, share our technology roadmaps and discuss the technology bricks that we can jointly develop, perhaps under the umbrella of Horizon Europe or NATO’s DIANA that UK and Belgian companies can both participate in.

Please register for this event using the MAA event registration system at the bottom of this page.

Part 2: Panel discussion and drinks reception at the (nearby) Residence of the Belgian Ambassador, 16:00 - 19:00

"His Excellency, the Belgian Ambassador to the UK, Mr Bruno van der Pluijm, and the Economic and Commercial Counsellors for the three (Belgian) regions, in collaboration with Farnborough International and ADS Group Ltd, have the pleasure to invite you to an exclusive seminar and networking event at the Residence of the Ambassador for an insightful discussion on the ‘Future Collaborations between the UK and the EU aerospace industries’.

To support the conversation, we will be joined by one of Belgium’s top experts on aeronautics, space, security and defence, as well as the Chief Relationships Officer at the Aerospace Technology Institute and the Head of International Relations at ADS Group.

We will discuss global challenges for the sector and the importance of collaborations & partnerships as well as business opportunities for both Belgian and UK companies in the aerospace industry. The floor will be open to questions from the audience from both Belgium and the UK.

The discussion will be followed by a networking reception.

The event will be held under Chatham House Rules.

We sincerely hope you will be able to come and join us."

For the national networking event (Part 2) please RSVP to v.amiri@awex-wallonia.com by December 8th.
