Beth Owen's bio:

As Head of Logistics and Transport for Airbus Broughton, within the UK Supply Chain Team for Airbus Commercial. Beth started as an electrical craft apprentice on the Single Aisle Programme. Developed through Airbus’s apprenticeship schemes, completing a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing before entering the Quality function as her first post early career role. The start in a varied career across all of the Airbus commercial programmes, spanning three key functions, Quality, Operations and most recently Supply Chain.
Leading the logistics team through the next few years of change, programme ramp ups, with a drive in sustainability improvement and the digitalisation of logistics processes simultaneously provides an exciting opportunity for Beth and the team in Airbus. Married with two young boys, a keen netball player, she enjoys being kept busy. The perfect match for a logistics leader! People, Teamwork and Integrity are Beth’s core values, this is apparent in the way she leads her
team through adversity, especially in recent years. A favorite quote of Beth’s, if you can lead by your personal values, you will always be able to live in harmony.

Simon Wheelton's bio:

Simon Wheelton joined Unipart Logistics in Autumn 2021 as the Director of Strategy and Business Development for the Aerospace, Defence and Utilities sector. He is passionate about meeting with new and existing clients to discuss how the Unipart Group’s diverse and class-leading capabilities can be deployed to support their requirements. He seeks to support the aerospace sector’s growth agenda, resilience and profitability by harnessing Unipart’s ability to deliver innovative, efficient, effective and sustainable supply chain solutions.
Prior to joining Unipart, he worked for five years with Leidos UK and Europe as the Head of Operations and more latterly as Head of Business Development for the Logistic Division delivering the thirteen year, £6.7bn out-sourced Ministry of Defence logistics services and commodities transformation programme. Before joining Leidos he served for nearly thirty years as a logistics officer in the British Army. His senior roles included strategic planning and policy, national and multi-national supply chain cooperation, commercial out-sourcing and operational command of logistics units. He deployed, frequently, to challenging and austere arenas on combat operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, various United Nations' operations as well as a few rather more glamorous locations.
