This page lists sources of government grant funding for which Midlands aerospace supply chain companies may be eligible.

The page was launched in mid 2013. At this stage of developing this service, grants are not listed in any particular order.

We are happy to list other grant funding relevant to the aerospace supply chain that is brought to our attention.


Grant for new technologies and products

National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (NATEP) has match funding available of upto £150,000 to support the following;

  • Funds small partnerships of SMEs, mid range business and to have an end customer to develop new technologies
  • Support available includes mentoring by experts in R&D, and up to £150k available in match funding

Grant to grow your business

Enscite is a programme to help East Midlands SME’s to grow through access to resources, workshops, technology and funding. This £14m programme is part funded by ERDF and is a collaboration between Derby Council and 3 university partners – Aston, Cranfield and Derby Universities.

National Tooling Funding Programme

The £24m Tooling Funding Programme has been created to help toolmakers and component manufacturers fund the design, development and manufacture of tooling or the expansion of tooling capacity.  It is open to manufacturing companies seeking a loan of £50,000 to £1m, although funding requests in excess of this will be considered by exception.

New funding for UK aerospace companies as £1bn of contracts achieved

Sharing in Growth (SiG) has been granted an additional £30 million by government to help an extra 24 UK aerospace suppliers to secure jobs and contracts by introducing world class leadership, skills, business and shopfloor practices. This is being supported by up to £170 million from industry.
