Strategic challenges facing the UK aerospace supply chain

Pernille Boisen – Chief Procurement Officer, Rolls-Royce

. . . speaking at the MAA annual conference 20 Feb 2013

Pernille Boisen will bring the latest Rolls-Royce thinking about the long-term implications for UK aerospace suppliers of key trends in the global aerospace industry.

  • What does growth in the Middle East and Asia mean for UK supply opportunities?
  • How is the industry managing the current rapid increase in production volumes?

UK suppliers know they need to maintain high levels of quality and delivery. But from a 10-20 year perspective, what are the key strategic assets they need to develop -- such as management capability, access to new technology, sub-tier supply chain management . . . -- and how should they set about doing so, if they want to play their part in the supply chains of the future?
