New technologies for the aero engine supply chain

Rolls-Royce, Derby

This event will showcase new technologies being developed for aero engines (and other applications) by UK companies supported by NATEP, a national programme in which aerospace supply chain companies are developing more than 100 new technologies for the UK and global aerospace industry.

These projects encompass new product and process technologies and span the whole product lifecycle from design to manufacturing and to MRO.

Rolls-Royce is the end user on 12 of the projects and has kindly agreed to host this event at its superb Learning and Development Centre in Derby. The day will be opened by Simon Burr, Director, Engineering & Technology - Civil Aerospace, Rolls-Royce.

The event will provide a forum for aerospace supply chain companies that are working on one of the 100+ NATEP projects related to aero engine technologies (and other applications) to present some of their new ideas to the wider world in a supportive environment that includes potential customers, other NATEP companies and other aerospace industry stakeholders. There will be formal presentations, and NATEP project companies will have stands where they can talk to you about what their companies and their new technologies can offer.

NATEP in brief

NATEP is a £40million programme supported by £23m of Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative funding. The MAA designed a programme to work across UK aerospace clusters based on its own previous very successful ATEP programmes (2006-12) run in the Midlands. NATEP runs from October 2013 to September 2017. It supports aerospace supply chain companies to develop innovative technologies, working in collaboration with others and supported by higher tier companies. It is equipping them to win new business with existing companies and to diversify their customer base, including in export markets. It also injects R&D capabilities that will contribute to a company’s long-term competitiveness and sustainability.

Book your place now

All bookings are being made via this Midlands Aerospace Alliance website. The event is free and you do not have to be a member of the MAA or another aerospace organisation to attend. If the event is over-subscribed we may have to restrict the number of attendees per company.
