Changing market dynamics - and critical issues for suppliers

David Hygate, Director Europe, TeamSAI

. . . speaking at the MAA annual conference 20 Feb 2013

With a massive backlog of aircraft due to be delivered over the next eight-ten years and a growing body of new product development, the aerospace supply chain is set for some testing times. Added to this is the continuing growth of low-cost carriers, increasing numbers of aircraft retirements and a growing appetite for operating leases rather than outright ownership. All of these issues combine to change the market dynamics for suppliers.

TeamSAI are an aviation consultancy specialising in both strategic forecasting and analysis and also technical outsourcing and process improvement. Each year we produce a global MRO forecast covering all aspects of the commercial MRO business – aircraft, engines and components – and David will be sharing the current ten-year outlook together with a look at some of the more near-term critical issues for suppliers.
