TRW Conekt, Solihull, 09:30 - 16:00
THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY SUBSCRIBED
This timely event, sponsored by Advantage West Midlands, will bring together expert speakers from industry and government, regional support bodies and the MAA to debate the shape, impact and response to the coming aerospace downturn. Participants will be encouraged to share their thinking and plans and to network with their peers.
Three industry leaders have agreed to present to the forum on future trends in the market:
- Robert Nuttall, Vice President Strategic Marketing, Future Programmes, Rolls-Royce
- Nick Miller, Business Director, Industrial Strategy, Thales UK
- Professor Andrew M. Walker, University of Manchester, formerly of Airbus
The economic cycle in aerospace traditionally lags behind other sectors. How will the credit crunch and recession affect the aerospace sector globally and in the Midlands, and how should companies manage their way through the coming downturn? What support will they need from government, regional agencies, and the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA), and what support is already available? The MAA will publish a report of the forum's conclusions for circulation in industry and government.
